Agnieszka Krawczyk-Łebek from the Department of Food Chemistry and Biocatalysis of the UPWr, together with her scientific supervisors – Prof. Edyta Kostrzewa-Susłow, Dr. Tomasz Janeczko and Dr. Monika Dymarska, has won the main prize in the 12th edition of the Student-Inventor competition. Her series of 38 inventions concerning new flavonoid glycosides with potential antimicrobial activity was recognised in the competition. The prize is participation in the International Exhibition of Inventions

Between the 13th and 15th of September the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences welcomed nearly a thousand visitors: veterinarians, scientists, animal breeders, food producers and food processors, as well as the representatives of pharmaceutical companies and animal care organizations.

This year, for the first time ever, the scholarship program "Implementation Master’s at UPWr" was launched. Students were granted scholarships for 3D printed prosthetics, and innovative bee farms, among others.

As many as 11 research projects by scientists from the UPWr have received funding from the National Science Centre in the PRELUDIUM 20 competition, and seven in OPUS 21. And this is not a full list of our successes in recent competitions by the National Science Centre. Among others, we were also awarded during the last editions of TANGO, BEETHOVEN and MINIATURE 5.

Today, everyone says that you could sense the war coming, and yet the morning of 24 February 2022 proved to be a shock for Ukrainians and, immediately afterwards, the people of Poland. And a great test in the face of new challenges. The Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences community involved in helping Ukrainian refugees also faced these challenges, and reacted by helping in various ways.
