The department consists of Division of Animal Anatomy (Head: prof. dr hab. Maciej Janeczek), Division of Animal Physiology (Head: dr hab Albert Czerski, prof. uczelni), Division of Histology and Embryology (Head: dr hab. Piotr Kuropka, prof. uczelni), Clinial Physiology Unit (Head: dr Jolanta Bujok), Archaeozoology Laboratory and Museum of Standards (Head: dr Edyta Pasicka) and Cell culture and advanced therapy laboratory (Head: dr Tomasz Gębarowski).
The department conducts scientific research and didactics in the field of anatomy, archeozoology, embryology, physiology i histology of animals.
