Two countries and two diplomas - on September 15, the recruitment for a degree programme in the field of Food Technology in English will begin. UPWr is co-organising them together with the Spanish Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche. Students will spend part of their studies in Orihuela, where they will learn about different regional technologies and products, among others.

A consortium including scientists from the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences is to implement one of the projects awarded in the ENUTC: ERA-NET Urban Transformation Capacities international competition. Out of 152 applications, only 16 received funding.

UPWr students of Landscape Architecture have designed plans for the development of the Biskupin Campus aligning with the principles of sustainable development. – The students' ideas are interesting and full of innovative and 'green' design solutions. Veterinary medicine is a wide field – there are over a million species of animals that exist today, and there are many environments in which they live and diseases they suffer from. The number of student science clubs at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine reflects the breadth of this field, because at a faculty with only one field of study, there are eight science clubs.

Not only is the Wrocław functional area able to meet the local vegetarian food needs of its inhabitants, but it even has surpluses to share. Not all of the centres studied at the University of Environmental and Life Sciences have this capacity. The results show that European cities have a problem with self-sufficiency.
