Scientists, have started the scientific project dedicated to finding and examining bioactive substances in eggs. These compounds are treated as diet supplements and could be used to prevent lifestyle diseases, including dementia, heart and blood pressure diseases and cancer.

A group of students from UPWr visited Dychów to participate in the Inter-University Scientific Camp for Student Research Circles from three universities: the Warsaw University of Technology, the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, and the University of Gdańsk. During the event, students gained practical knowledge about the operation of the power plant and its environmental impact.

1951 saw the formation of the Institute of Foreign Languages, although within just two years it was transformed into the Foreign Language Centre; a cross-faculty unit brought into being at all Polish tertiary institutions through an ordinance by the Minister of Higher Education, on the second of February, 1953. It was later renamed the Centre for Practical Language Education (SPNJO). The first director of our SPNJO was Dr Franciszek Janowski.
